The UAE Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced the launch of a robotic pharmacy service at Fujairah Hospital. This initiative represents the adoption of cutting-edge technological innovations in pharmaceutical safety, aimed at eliminating medication errors.

The ministry framed this development as part of its broader strategy to deliver exceptional healthcare services aligned with international standards. The goal is to establish an efficient and effective pharmaceutical system that promotes rational drug use, positioning the UAE as a global center for healthcare innovation.

Dr. Youssef Mohammed Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Sector, indicated the ministry's intention to expand this service across all government hospitals. He emphasized plans to design and develop platforms for medication dispensing to patients according to "seven-star service standards" to enhance pharmacy visitor satisfaction and deliver government services in accordance with best international practices.

Al Serkal also noted that while robots exist in government hospitals, none previously achieved this level of advancement, scale, or integration.
